This Act provides for ensuring timely delivery of services to the public from Panchayats. Its aim is to increase the transparency and efficiency of Panchayat offices.

Each service (for example: birth/death certificate, building permit, various licenses) has a specific time frame within which it must be provided.

Appeal authority
The public has the right to appeal if the service is not provided within the specified time after submitting the application or if the application is rejected. For this, First Appeal and Second Appeal Authorities have been appointed.
⚠️ Fines for officials
Responsibility
This law provides for the imposition of fines on officials who delay in providing services within the stipulated time limit without any valid reason.
